Scott has been hiking among these unique landscapes since 1996 and he is delighted to share his enthusiasm for the geology of New Mexico with anyone who likes to get outside.

I just came across your website with its marvelous post, “Geological Joy New Mexico.” My wife and I will be in Santa Fe May 3-9. I would love to go on a geological hike with someone who could describe what we are looking at. I fell in love with the sheer beauty of the rocks in the Southwest on my first visit. I have tried to pick up some knowledge of geological processes slowly since then – reading John McPhee, reading local geology guides whenever and wherever we travel, but I have never been on a field trip with anyone knowledgeable. If that’s what you are offering let me know the terms. Thanks.
